Memberships
Duration plans and session packs, selling a membership at the desk, freezes and renewals, and how a pack pays for bookings by itself.
Two shapes of plan
Memberships → New plan is a three-step wizard: pick the shape, name and price it, done.
- Duration — unlimited use for a period: monthly, quarterly, annual. Optional joining fee. Optional freeze allowance in days.
- Session pack — a number of sessions, used one per booking, optionally limited to one sport.
A plan carries its own GST rate if the club is registered, and the price shown is the price charged.
Selling one
Sell membership is a wizard too. The buyer can be found or typed in on the spot, the plan chosen, the start date set, and an invoice is raised with the payment taken however they pay. From that moment the person is a member for this sport: the desk prices their bookings at the member rate automatically, and the portal does the same.
How a pack pays
A session pack pays first, everywhere a booking is born — at the desk, on the portal, and in a recurring series. A covered booking raises no invoice and shows “paid by session pack”. Cancelling gives the session back. The balance is counted from the sessions actually used, never from a number somebody typed, so it cannot drift.
Freezing and renewing
Freezing pauses a membership for a holiday or an injury. It needs a reason, it is capped by the plan’s allowance, and it extends the expiry by exactly the days frozen. Renewing continues from the current expiry, not from today, so renewing early loses no days.
